Rhone Blend, "vif", 2007

$36.00 (library)

Vivid, lively, bright... the French term “vif" is perfect for this proprietary blend of Rhône  varieties.  This unique wine is reminiscent of the fresh country wines traditionally produced in the Rhône Valley of France. After 17 months of aging in American and Hungarian barrels, Syrah  from the Horse Heaven Hills and the Wahuke Slope was blended with Mourvedre and Petite Sirah (Durif) from the Wahluke Slope.

Winemakers's Notes:

Big and juicy, with firm tannins; spicy aromas with hints of tobacco and earth; blackberry and ripe plum flavors linger on the palate.
